New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav, who had been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi yesterday, has been put under observation from the critical care unit of the hospital Cardiothoracic and Neurosciences Centre. His loved ones and friends, including his wife Rabri Devi and celebration colleague Bhola Yadav, have been in attendance at the center.
Seventy-two-year-old Mr. Yadav, detained in fodder scam cases, was undergoing treatment in the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences at Ranchi for several ailments when, yesterday, his condition worsened. His physicians then decided to change him to AIIMS New Delhi.
“Lalu Prasad has been having difficulty breathing for the previous two days. On Friday, he was discovered to be having schizophrenia. Considering his age, we chose to change him to AIIMS-Delhi about the help of physicians for better treatment,” RIMS Director Dr. Kameshwar Prasad had earlier said.
He’s presently being tracked by cardiologist Dr. Rakesh Yadav.
His party colleague and the National General Secretary of RJD, Bhola Yadav now visited him in the hospital where his eldest daughter, Misa Bharti, was together with him according to sources.
Ms. Devi, his spouse, together with his children Tejashwi Yadav and Ms. Bharti was Mr. Yadav till around 12 am last night they stated. The senior chief had his meals at night and this afternoon.
Several political leaders, meanwhile, desired the former Bihar Chief Minister a rapid recovery.

Arch rival Nitish Kumar rued the fact that he had to remain content with news regarding the ailing RJD chief accumulated from papers since his telephonic inquiries had earlier triggered a controversy.
“It’s my fervent wish he gets nicely as soon as you can,” that the Bihar Chief Minister told reporters here. He dethroned Lalu Yadav in 2005, less than two years after having affirmed his ascent in the state’s politics.
